Daugher of Lillian and Charles Greenwald and sister to Arthur H. Greenwald. Susan attended P.S. 98 Shorakapock Elementary School and Junior High School #52 in Manhattan. She also attended George Washington High School graduating early in 1956. She then went to the City College of New York at night while working at the Fulton Fish Market. Several years later she moved to California where she worked in the Art Business at Collier Art in Culver City and Beverly Hills. She was a good friend of Norton Dicker(dec) of the Hollywood Post JWV. She also visited her cousins Arnold and Elaine Roth who lived in Granda Hills, Ca. She relocated back to New York because her mother Lillian (dec) refused to move to California. Upon returning to New York she attended a convention with another organization that was being held at the same time as a Department of N.Y. Convention where she was reunited with Rosalie Loewy, who Susan had gone to school with. Rosalie suggested that Susan join the Hershon-Goodman Ladies Auxiliary #550. She was President of the Auxiliary for the first time in 1979-1980. She served as Bronx County President in 1992-1993 and 2002-2003, and Department President in 1995-1996, while her brother Arthur was serving as Bronx County Commander.
