Charles Field

Charles Field was born in Chicago, IL on November 21, 1905. He graduated De Paul University Law School in 1927 and went on to become a business lawyer. On February 20,1937 he married Naomi Hecker Field. He was inducted into the Army January 9, 1943 at the age of 38. While he was in the service he took park in the Normandy Invasion shortly after D-Day. He also fought in four addtional engagements earling the American Campaign, European-African-Middle East, Bronze Star World War ll and the Good Conduct Medals. He was discharged December 2, 1945. After the war he was employed by the Veterans Administration in Chicago as a Adjudicator. He was known for his warm smiling personality, brilliant mind and retentive memory. His famous quotes are " We are not alone before God but as a member of his community" and " Psalms contain the whole music of the hearts of man swept by the hand of the maker". God gave Charles Field a long and full life!
