Esther Beatrice Hellman (Nee Kurman) was born on December 25, 1902 in Galicia, Austria Hungary; she came to the United States on December 8, 1913. She was 10 years old. Her mother was Leah Matel Kurman (Nee Greenberg). Her father was Charles Kurman. She married Abraham Hellman on June 2, 1923. Siblings: Hilda (married Sol Stahl, one child, Rachel), Abraham (married Celia, four children: Gertrude, Pearl (died playing with matches), Seymour and Lillian), Hannah (married David Bank, two children Gloria and Leon Marvin), Gussie (married Charles Spund, four children: Joel, Lila, Brenda and Steven), Sam (married to Lillian, two children . Children: Seymour, Shirley (Deceased at 1½ years. Leon Marvin. She worked in the garment center as a seamstress, made hats and costume jewelry. Came to the United States on December 8, 1913 on the Steamship Prinz Friedrich Wilhelm from Port of Bremen,Germany. She had 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She passed away July 19, 1987 age 84.I will always love her and keep her in my heart. She will always be my Yiddisha momma. Her grandchildren are Barbara, Marsha, Audrey (deceased), sheila, Addrienne, Beth, Ricci Ann. Her great grandchildren are Jeffrey, Lisa, Brian, Lauren, Nathan, Rachel, Benjamin and Logan. 2 great great grandchildren are Ryan Thomas and Dylan Alliegro.
