Hyman "Hy" Levine

Hyman Levine was born 4/11/1924 in Brooklyn, New York. Hy enlisted in the Army Air force in 1942. Received honorable discharge in 1946. Served in England and went to Germany till the end of World War II. In 1945 married Marie Majesky while Hy was serving in the Air Force. Marie was an English war bride, married 54 years. Hy had four children, Ivan, Sandi, Nancy, Alan, and eight grandchildren:Jason, Bryan, Jennifer, Bradley, Jayme, Ryan, Jonathon, and Samantha. Received numerous awards and ribbons while in the Air Force. Hy served as commander of Post #700 of the Jewish War Veterans, and was elected commander for the State of Illinois of the Jewish War Veterans in 1998. Hy Levine died January 10, 1999.
