William N. Becker

Mr. Becker served in the U.S. Army during WW I in the Quartermaster Corp. He was sent to France where he served until 1919. Post war he studied at New York Law School and passed the New Jersey Bar Exam in 1921. He practiced Law in New Jersey until his retirement in 1970. He was a member of JWV Post 34 in Newark, N.J. for more than 20 years. He attained the rank of Sr. Vice Commander. He served as Government Appeal Agent for the Vailsburgh Draft Board during WW II. Becker and his wife Dora had 3 daughters, Shirley Heyman, Janice Sorkin, and the late Lenore Krosner; seven grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
