Sidney Gewirtz was a hard working family oriented man who loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren Matt and Amy and spent all his hours caring for his son Mitchell, who passed away in 1973 and his wife Mary, who developed Parkisans, dementia, and Alzheimer. He took care of Mary every second of the day and did the best he could to help her fight these diseases. He also volunteered at the Veterans Hospital in Brooklyn and spent hundreds and hundreds of hours trying to help others. Sidney also loved his brother Morton, who had been very supportive and helpful to Sidney during the tough times and is still there for us all and we are all grateful. We all miss him.
