Philip Vedus

Born in Englewood, N.J., on June 5, 1927, to the late Harry and Jennie Vedus, Philip resided in Rockaway for the past seven years and previously lived in Wayne. He was a chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1955 and was very active with the Jewish War Veterans. Philip was a member of White Meadow Lake Temple in Rockaway and volunteered for many years at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Surviving are his daughters, Michelle Vedus-Deeney and her husband, Raymond; Karen Vedus and her husband, Richard Woolley, and Jerri Casazza and her husband, Steven; grandchildren, Steven, Jennifer and Maxwell Casazza, and Joshua Deeney and his wife, Susan, and great-grandchild, Caleigh. He was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife, Sandra Vedus.
