Neal Rosenberg attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. He joined the U.S. Army in February 1945 and was assigned to an army student training program. He was then transfered to the 422 Night Fighter Squadron, 84th Infantry Division (rail splitters). He received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart Medal.
