Eddie served in World War II. He was a Military Policeman who guarded German prisoners on the trains in Germany. Eddie was discharged in 1946, met and married his beloved Pearl on February 21, 1950. They had three children, Katie, Leslie and Marlie who gave them four grandchildren. They were happily married for 56 years. Eddie was active in the Boy Scouts, Knights of Pythias and Jewish War Veterans. He was Commander in J.W.V. for two years. He volunteered to help P'tach and The Guardians of the Sick, donated blood every year, and always made himself available to all who needed him. Eddie was very active in his synagogue and though he was sick many years, he was always there for his fellowman. Eddie worked at the Bingo Games at the Brooklyn VA Hospital, constantly carrying his oxygen tank and chauffeuring the ladies when and wherever needed. Eddie leaves behind his beloved wife Pearl, son Leslie and two daughter's Katie and Marlie and four grandchildren.
