Philip was the devoted husband of Alberta "Terry" Kazansky for 63 years. He was a 67 year resident of Monticello, NY. He was the proud father of Richard, Jeffrey, Linda and Sharon. His granchildren include Melissa, David, Matthew and Adam, Lucas and Amber. He has three great grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua and Ariana. He is survived by his sister Renee. Philip served his country as a Master Sargeant in the United States Army during World War II from 1942 until 1946. He received numerous decoration and citations. He was a member of Post 0206 of the Jewish War Veterans. Philip was Secretary, Treasurer and Business Manager for Local 76 of the Hotel and Restaurant Employees Union. In his capacity as an official with Local 76 since its inception in 1954, Philip was instrumental in improving the lives of hotel workers throughout the Catskill region. Philip was an inspiration to all that knew and loved him.
