Israel Goldman Born: 2/15/1920 Died: 5/27/2002 Israel Goldman , beloved husband of 62 years to Ida(nee:Steinfeld).Loving father of Allana Unger, Steven, Maxine and the late Lois William Kaplain, brother of Mettle Borkow and Pearl Aracelay; devoted grandfather of Marc(Moris) Kaplain, Cynthia (John) Headman, Mindi Shapiro and Jason Goldman; great grandfather of Joseph Popiel, Ashley Lukacher, Scott Headman and Brittner Headman. Izzy served in the US Army during WW II from 3/25/1944 to 3/27/1946. His rank was Tech 4th class. Izzy served overseas in England, France and Germany. After the war Izzy joined the Drizin Weiss Post 215, of the Jewish War Veterans of America and served as Post Commander for the term of one year. Izzy liked to cook, his specialty was lox and potato soup. He said he made the best. He was a master Jewish baker, he worked in some of Philadelphia's finest bakeries and also the Shop Union Steward.
