Marvin Leonard Fauer (1909-1981) Born Newark, NJ to Samuel and Gussie Roemer Fauer. Raised and schooled in Belleville, NJ. Army service as cryptographic technician awakened childhood interest in radio transmission. Married Selma King of Washington, DC 1948. A WWII Army Nurse Corps Veteran (JWV member). Moved to West Orange, NJ. Children: Lauren Ellen,now Mrs. Bob Patten of Lakewood, Co. and Charles Edward,now of Reisterstown, MD. Twin grandsons: Adam and Benjamin Fauer. Marvin was an award winning salesman with Mutual of Omaha for many years. He was a member of JWV, Bnai B'rith and Temple Emanuel, Livingston, NJ. His avocation was amateur (ham) radio from his home station his call letters "W2SGA" took him through out the USA and globally via the airwaves, and gave him many varied and interesting experiences and contacts worldwide. Marvin died suddenly June 11, 1981. He was dearly loved and sorely missed.
