Born in New York, NY April 28, 1916. B.A. Economics, Brooklyn College, 1940. Drafted June 1941. Infantry corporal until appointed Aviation Cadet, July 1942. Graduated OCS March 1943, Miami Beach. Assigned to Army Air Corps, 21st and 62nd Station Complement Squadrons and then 315th Troop Carrier Group, as Utilities maintenance and then Flight Control Officer in England from April 1943 to France in September 1944 and Puerto Rico in August 1945. As FCO he routed all aircraft on non-operational flights, signed aircraft clearances and was responsible for safety of all aircraft on taxi strip. Left active duty as 1st Lieutenant, September 1945. Promoted to Captain, January 1947. Honorably discharged from Air Force Reserve 1955. Awarded European Theater Ribbon with 3 Battle Stars, American Theater and American Defense Ribbons. In civilian life, built homes, stores, factories and developed real estate in New York. Married, fathered two children. Retired 1986.
