Born 1894, Jadowniki Southern Poland; Married Helena in 1919, they had five children, all boys. Served in Poland in the Austrian Army from 1912 thru 1918. He was an officer in the infantry and fought against the Russians during World War I. Was severely wounded in 1917, spent almost a year recuperating from his wounds, but never fully recovered. He was decorated with three Medals for Heroism by the Austrian Government. He was discharged in Bochnia, Poland where he found his future wife, Helena, and they resided there and raised their family. He was in transportation business, until his death in 1938, at the age of 43. His twin brother Isidore came to the United States in 1920, and was residing in Brooklyn, NY. Both brothers served during World War I. Herman Storch lost the whole family during the Holocaust, except for his son Bernard who served during World War II with the Polish Army.
