Lila Blatt passed away on August 30, 2013 after a lengthy illness. She was a dedicated New York City public school teacher for 35 years. She was active in and served in numerous capacities of the National Council of Jewish Women and the Shirley Applebaum Heart League and served as Chapter President for the American Cancer Society. She was the daughter of one of the founders of the Meyer Levin Post 169, Henry and Anna Simon. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Morris (Murray) and mother of Michele and Larry Blatt. She was 82 year old.
