Sidney Milton Gross was born August 11, 1918 in New York City to parents Rose and Morris Abrams. He died 12/5/2012 in Rochester, NY and was buried in Queens, NY with his wife. He is survived by his sister Gladys Stein, two children and six grandchildren. Sidney served in the U.S. Army Ninth Air Force from 6/25/1942 to 11/16/1945; the majority of his service time was in North Africa chasing the "Desert Fox". He left military service as First Sergeant having earned a WWII Victory Medal, European-Africa-Middle East Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. On 12/28/1946 he married Fanny and had three children, Terry, Michael and Harvey. He attended New York University on the GI Bill and earned an MBA. He had a successful career as a salesman and owner of HVAC companies in Queens, NY. He retired to Boca Raton, Florida. He was proud of his service to his country and he loved to dance.
