Anita Geraldine Sherman passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011. She was born in Maywood, IL, a suburb of Chicago, on November 8 1925. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Dora LeVine, two sons, Jeffrey and Barry, and a sister Bernice Brunner. Anita was a retired Navy Department auditor with an entry in "Who's who of American Women" 14th Edition, 1985-86. She was an accomplished dancer in round, ballroom, and square dancing; a volunteer guide at the Kennedy Center for 25 years; President of Ladies Auxiliary #381 of the Jewish War Veterans of the USA for many years; and also a member of the Camp Springs Elks Lodge #2332.
