Alfred Klein

Tammuz 23, 5753

December 20, 1917 to July 11, 1993

There would be many significant events that would come to define the life of Technical Sergeant Alfred Klein USAAF, but none more than his affiliation and service with the 'Mighty 8th' Air Force. At one time during his training to become a Flight Engineer he was told that as a member of the Jewish Faith that should he be shot down over enemy territory he might expect to receive possible 'severe treatment' by the Nazi's. He was given the option of serving in the Pacific Theatre instead. True to his character he served in the European Theatre and did all he could to defeat Germany. He continued on to become President of his Temple and a JWV Post Commander. Always proud to be part of the Jewish faith.
