Morris was inducted into the army on the morning of his evening high school graduation. He served as an ammunition bearer and truck driver during World War II from 1944 to 1946 in Central Europe, Rhineland, with the 63rd Division 21 and is a recipient of the Bronze Star and Good Conduct medals. He was promoted to Private First Class. Upon discharge he went to college under the GI Bill and earned his degree as an accountant. Later on he went into the shoe findings business with his father. Eventually he sold the business and became a substitute school teacher. HE joined the JWV Milton L. Finel Post 389 in Brooklyn, NY and became Commander in 1977. Years later he moved to Marlboro, NJ and was active in the Lt. Seth Dvorin Post 972 of JWV. He is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters in law and five grandchildren.
