He was born on May 3, 1912 in Corfu, Greece. Abraham later arrived in Ellis Island, NYC on March 1913 with his mother, grandmother, aunt, and uncle after 8 months in steerage from Greece thru the Mediterranean, crossing the Atlantic Ocean. He grew up in the borough of Manhattan, Brooklyn, New York and attended public school, graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School with a commercial degree majoring in accounting and business administration (1931). Abraham attended the College of the City of New York, Pace Institute, College of the Desert, Palm Desert, California State University, and San Bernadino. He earned degrees in Real Estate, Business Administration, Accounting, Paralegal Studies, and Public Administration. Abraham later joined the US Army on March 26, 1942 and completed his service time on December 11, 1945. During this time he served in the USA and European Theatre in England, France, and Germany. He earned many service medals which include the Bronze Star, European African Medal, Rhynland German Service Medal, American Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. In addition, Abraham was very active in community service and earned a few life time achievement awards such as the Life Long Learning Award College of the Desert Alumni Assn Thomas Jefferson HS Service.
